李伦教授65年毕业于湖北美术学院，从学唐一禾弟子杨立光先生。著名油画家，功油画风景，擅左笔狂草，北京大学百年校庆书画邀请展顾问和评委。高教数十年，曾任曲阜师范大学美术系西画教研室主任。有《李伦画集》、《世界美术鉴赏辞典》、《美感臆说》及《论湖北美术学院油画学派》、《一代艺术青年命运》等专著和论文发表。历年有油画、版画及书法作品在国内外参展和被收藏。如：书法《尧舜之道在行止急徐这间》和《月明林下美人来》分别被新加坡船王曹慰德和世界银行首席秘书崛口笃子私人收藏 ，油画《苗家山寨》被荷兰皇家天地公司高级副总裁美籍华人庞复兴私人收藏，油画《太行秋色》被美籍华人赖芳女士收藏。油画风景两幅分别被北京师范大学党委书记刘川生女士(党的十五大、十六大、十七大代表，驻英、美使馆教育参赞)和著名教育家黄劲博士收藏。
98年在中国美术馆举办个人油画风景展，03年在中天国立画廊举办《二十世纪中华名人故里》个人精品展。从 99年至06年以《二十世纪中华名人故里风景写生》为题，在全国各地旅行写生。02年和06年两次应邀去中国艺术研究院讲学、交流。从2006年5月开始应邀以北京名人故居为题为《人民日报》海外版作画，每月两次发表作品。2008年参加“中贸圣佳”春拍、秋拍和“太平洋”秋拍。同年7月1日《人民日报》海外版以《李伦其人其画》为题对李伦作品进行全面推介。同年山东电视台《大家名家》栏目以“一个人文主义者的风景----记中国著名油画家李伦教授”为题专题介绍。《中国油画》、《美术观察》、《美术关注――中国油画名家》、《中国美术》、《艺术》、《中国文化报》和香港《东方美术》等重要媒体分别作为推荐画家加以介绍。著名艺评家张晓军先生在《艺术》杂志一篇文章中称“李伦先生的创作目前已进入炉火纯青的阶段”。著名美术评论家水天中先生则以《一个人文主义风景》为题在《中国油画》上撰文介绍说“李伦先生书法入画，作品有纳须弥于介子的气象”。李伦先生现为职业画家。在宋庄画家村先后创立“北京实力画室”和 “李伦美术馆”。现居北京。
