吴凡，1923年12月出生于重庆，1948年毕业于国立艺术专科学校。先后在重庆市文学艺术界联合会及四川美术家协会供职，主要从事版画和国画创作。作品多次在国内、外展出，有的作品为中国美术馆及国外有关部门收藏。有的作品曾在国内及国际获得金奖，银奖、三等奖、优秀奖，又因五、六十年代当中国版画所作贡献而被授予“鲁迅版画奖”。出版过《吴凡作品选集》、《吴凡版画选集》现为一级美术师，四川美术家协会副主席。

　　Wu Fan was born in Chongqin Municipanity in Dec. 1923. He graduated from the National Art Training School in 1948. He held possitions in the Literature and Art Association of Chongqin and Sichuan Provincial Artists Association successively. He has been engaged in oil painting and woodcut. His works were exhibited at home and aboard for many times. Some of them have been collected by the Fine Art Museum of China and foreign related departments. Some works were offered gold, silver, bronze and excellent prizes. He won "Lu Xun Woodcut Prize" for his outstanding contribution to chinese woodcut in 1950‘s and 1960‘s. He is now a senior painter, the vice chairman of Sichuan Provincial Artists Association. His main works are Sellection of Wu Fan‘s Paintings and Sellection of Wu Fan‘s Woodcut Works.
